Race 1 scratch of #4 we will use 3 and 7, bet remains same price
Santa Anita is over until the day after Christmas and that means we are heading back to Del Mar next weekend! We owned Del Mar this summer hitting many Pick 4 and Pick 5’s as well as nailing many big longshots. The season pass for the Bing Meet is only $75.
Del Mar is where some of our biggest scores have come especially this past Summer meet!
In the Pick 5 today if you want to spend less then Lucky Dolly in race 1 is a potential single. Dropping in class today for a trainer winning 36% on the move, no works for 2 weeks however so that is why I added the 1st timer with Prat riding Crimsoned N Clover. Trainer is 43% maiden claiming for a big ROI and mommy has 4 winners from 6. Works on slow side though
Pick 4 “I need a Single” is in race 6 Zindaya who invades from the East Coast into a turf race full of horses that take turns beating each other, sharp workout, ran second last race, jockey/trainer win 33% from large same (19 of 57) and have a positive ROI. If you decide to single this horse then look to add in Fantasy of Luck in race 8 as extra coverage on the ticket. I have that horses listed as a potential add in the suggested bets below!
Best Bets: No standouts today
Longshots of the Day: Win/place bets on these
Race 1: Crimsoned N Clover – see above
Race 2. Jami Race, Hillside longshot that closed from 9th in the stretch to 4th last out, adds blinkers, race is won by horse over 10-1 27% so hoping we get that price
Race 6: Queen of The Sand, late closer in a race with no early pace but Bejarano rides and these stakes races are producing chaos and prices
Race 7: First Degree Bum, sharp works for a Baffert at 8-1 and his hot streak you have to try, likely gets bet though
Race 8: Generous Pour, Prat 12-1 I will always look at, sharp work, won last I hope we get that 12-1! She was fast going a mile and cuts back as well, possible bomb of the day here!
Race 9: Aldrin, 20-1 seems like a hail Mary but Desormeaux hops on for Miller and they have been lethal lately winning 39% and in da money 67% for a solid ROI, 3rd off the layoff, blinkers off big price
Race 6 Pick 4 will cost $40.50 with horses listed in preference
Races 1-5 selections and also for $36 Pick 5, exacta and trifecta boxes
Mandatory Pick 6 Payout Pool Race 6
Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.
For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.
When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.
Whenever we have a scratch of a suggested play in a sequence go to the website using the password that is emailed out with each card to see if there are any needed changes. If there is a late scratch after a bet is done and I do not put in an alternative it means I am looking to getting the post time favorite. If it is an early scratch and I do not add in an extra horse it means I am looking to just having one less selection in the sequence and a cheaper bet. Be sure to check the site to see if there are any changes prior to the Pick 4 and Pick 5 sequences
