Today brings us a sequence that has some possible singles but a Hillside race where the lowest priced horse is 7/2 and 4 of the 10 runners are 5-1. Translation wide open and likely an ALL race.
In the first leg little separates #1 Shopping Savannah and #3 Democracy Rules. There is also #5 In Dad’s Honor who I have bet on a few times now. If I had to chose between the two favorites I would go with #1 with Baze riding. Dropping in class with a fast workout a single here is what I am leaning to on one ticket. I will use the other two on another.
The downhill course comes in leg two and as I mentioned this is a possible ALL race and on the single ticket I will. On my other ticket I will use #3 Diamond Majesty, a horse who likes the hillside and with red-hot Prat riding. #5 Unusual Taste, away since the Del Mar meet is another who likes the course. #9 Tosheen has really done little of late but its a horse that will win the time I don’t use. Some good workouts since the last race offer encouragement! #10 Eddies First is the morning line favorite after winning here last month. He has changed trainers since that win.
Race 7 brings us a 6 furlong dirt race that I am going to go three deep in. #1 Jetbird is a horse that has also done little of late but it is a horse I like to use for a price. A sharp workout on May 5 could signal go time. #3 Queen Of The Hill and #8 Norastone are the likely race time favorites. Queen won off a layoff in March then “bounced” but still finished second in April. Rested a month and third off the layoff looks ready. Nora is dropping in class after a second place finish in her last. This $8k class level can be tough sometimes.
In the final leg I am going to single on all tickets the #6 Native Ride. He has been 3rd three straight and moves down in class and really should beat this group up. This race
though has a very low favorite win % of only 8% from 12 races. If you are uneasy singling here then #2 and #4 are a couple to use and for a price the #5 Pyrotechnics making his first start since Del Mar in the summer.

Our Best Bet Kyankes on Sunday did her job with the victory. Let’s see if we can keep this win streak going today. The most probable winner on the card today is in race #1, the #1 Wandering Heart but at 1/2 on offers little value. A possible double with #1 and #6
in race #2 and a Pick 3 with #6 and 7 in race three. While I am at it why not a Pick 5 using ALL in the Hillside on Race #4 and a single of #1 in Race 5!
