That was a tough end to a good weekend on Sunday but chins up and back to work we go! Today’s card is one full of small fields and low odds and that usually means favorites day. However, what usually looks to be chalky rarely ends up that way!

Race 8: I am going 5 deep in this leg and if we are alive to the last week we will be looking great with a couple of big prices. #10 Regal Reign is my longshot of the day with Desormeaux riding. WAAAY back in Del Mar last out like a horse ridden by Smith he surged late . He is moving up in class but stretching out and 10-1 I will use! #2 The Natural is another big price finished 3rd last in a productive race that saw 2 next out winners. Baffert is throwing away #9 Concord’s Storm after a 2nd in his debut.  Using only cause we have room on the ticket. #7 has finished 3rd or better in 7 of 9 races. #4 is dropping in class.

Today’s Late Pick 4 will cost $30 with horses listed in preference.

For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice  with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.

When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.
