We have been on a nice roll! We took down a modest Pick 5 yesterday for another low bet and our $9 Pick 4 almost paid as well. The payouts continue to be modest even with odds on horses losing (Like Dream Police in the 1st yesterday who I said was vulnerable) so I will continue to keep the tickets on the low end with a mix of longshots too! We have a full 11 race card today that looks very interesting but keep in mind the last race is an Arabian’s race and not part of the Pick 4 which begins in race 7.
Possible singles today:
In race 1 Could Be Magic is a reride for Arroyo after a closing 3rd on the Hill last out – why does this matter? Miller whom Arroyo is almost unbeatable with has entered the 7/5 2nd choice off a 9 month break and Arroyo choose this horse and so will we! I don’t like to single on the Hill but I am siding with the jockey’s choice. We also get a sharp work into this.
In race 4 XXX
In race 6 Gator Don’t Play clipped heels in his debut but acted like he would have won that race if it had not happened. Baltas/Bejarano are 5 for 5 with 2nd start maidens in sprints
In race 8 Dortmund is the 6/5 morning line favorite in a race won by the favorite a whopping 65% from a large sample. He totally misfired on turf last out. Is he the same horse however as last year?
Longshots of the Day: Win/place bets on these
Race 3: XX
Race 6: Tanners Pride at 20-1 offers fantastic value in a wide open race for Koriner/E-Racing and they get Talamo to ride. Koriner is winning 33% 2nd start (8 of 24) and 20% MSW. The fav wins this race 44% of the time but a horse over 5-1 wins 45% and over 10-1 17% of these races. In this same race Perdroza rides Chatterman for Pearson and they are winning 43% and we get a sharp work into this. Ran a closing 2nd in debut we get 12-1
Race 8: XXX
Race 9: XX
Today’s Late Pick 4 will cost $36 with horses listed in preference.
Today’s Pick 5 will cost $27 or $4.50 singling the top choices with horses listed in preference.
Race 6 selections:
Race 11 selections:
5 with 7 with 1
Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.
For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.
When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.

“The grace of God is found between the saddle and the ground.”
