We enter opening weekend and thus far it has been so-so. The bombs have fallen but they have been akin to 1 legged ponies on pogo sticks, impossible to handicap! Let’s see if we can end this meet on some big wins.
Race 1: 1,2,6
In this race I am going with the 1-3 choices in the betting. Run Sophia Run drops for trainer Wong and pulls the blinkers off and he is 40% on this move and 1 for 1 with the jockey. Princess Kendra has won 2 in a row and jumps up in class today. Pedroza has a huge win percentage with this trainer at 57% and 71% in the money for a $10+ ROI. If you want a single at an ok price in the sequence this is the one. Easter Fever is taking a big drop in class for D’Amato and puts the rookie and his weight break on board. 6 furlongs the lesser weight usually does not matter much but it looks as though they are hunting for the win and helping the horse in every way.

Race 5: 4,2,5
Time for Ebby has a win and second from the last 2 races. Sid The Squid won last out shorter driving in the lane and looks like this 7 fl race is perfect – a single if you need the bet small!
Race 6: XXX
Race 7: XXX
Race 8: 11,10
Bissou Bissou drops in class for a trainer who wins 30% off a layoff and Talamo rides for his daddy-in-law which has been rare at this meet and when he does I pay attention. Queen Bee to You drops in class as well.
