Tough sledding yesterday with quite a few even money and less favorites doing squat. We kept the bets on the low end luckily. We are at an interesting stage in the Del Mar meet with only a few racing days left owners and trainers will be trying to get their pictures taken. They will also be using some of these races to prep for Santa Anita. This means for us handicapping that prices are still going to be there and the meet may start to play out like the opening week, lots of bombs!
Today’s card has some potential singles if you are looking to spread in some of the larger legs. We should start to see horses that want to be ready for Santa Anita get their runs in the next week.
Del Mar is where the big prices usually hit and where our biggest wins have come!
Pick 4 “I need a Single” in race 7 is Who’s Out and even though Smith is riding this race has been run 4 times with the fav winning 3 of them. We did however see a couple of stat based races yesterday totally go the opposite way! Ran second last out going 7 furlongs (of course the same jockey rode) so hopefully Smith can start a little early today with the added ground!

Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.
For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.
When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.
