We are now into the time of the Del Mar meet where prices will hit but only when you don’t have them! This is usually when I start reducing my bet sizes until a clearer picture emerges. I like today’s card but I’m am going to try and not spend big on it. Early speed dominated the first few days but they dug the dirt track up Monday so its going to take a few races to see how it plays out now!
Race 2: Amazing Love – broke slowly going 5 furlongs in last out and flew late for third, half furlong more today and a clean start
Longshots of the Day: Win/place bets on these
Race 3: West Mid, big win last out at Santa Anita, won 2 of 3, sharp works, trainer 40% allowance races
Race 6: Papa Mambo, won last, bred for grass, stretches out
Race 8: Money Makin Mike, trainer 27% off the claim, sharp works at Del Mar in preparation
Today’s Late Pick 4 will cost $36 with horses listed in preference.
Races 1-6 selections and also for Pick 5, exacta and trifecta boxes
Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.
For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.
When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.
Irish horse racing saying –

“The grace of God is found between the saddle and the ground.”
