LA Times Value Play:
Race 7: Master Ryan finally won after ten tries last out under Umberto Rispoli who rode for the 1st time. Trainer Phil D’Amato, who also owns the horse, moves ‘Ryan up in class and adds another half furlong. Previous races going 5 and a half furlongs suggest today’s distance should be no issue. Rispoli has won 3 of 9 for D’Amato who wins 21% maiden winner last race. For a horse that has finished 9 of 10 in the money and a possible lightbulb “Rispoli won last out” angle the 5-1 price we are getting is excellent value today.
Value Plays for Today:.
Race 3: Party Game is my 15-1 closing play 2nd US start and the class of the field. Today’s race is a drop in class for a trainer 21% 2ns start.
Race 9: Never Be Enough ships down from GG with two best of the day works. When this horse works like this she fires.

Typos happen and I do my best not to make them. Always read through my writeups to make sure the posted numbers are correct. I list Pick 4, Pick 5 selections and also a listing of all plays for each race. If there are any differences, please let me know.
*Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.
For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.
When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.
