Update: Race 11 typo its 10,3,9
We hit another Pick 4 yesterday but alas it was another chalkfest and it paid a meager $67. We had a profit using our low ticket strategy that still had a nice mix of longshots who ran very well yesterday for us. The last day of the meet and mandatory payouts await. In today’s Pick 4 I am betting against the top 2 choices in race 9 so that is my key get out of to win it race! In the Pick 4 today if you must have a single to spread even more in the sequence I would land on One I’m Running To in Race 9.
Roman is 3 ahead of Desormeaux for the jockey title and Miller is one race behind Baltas for the trainers title with Glatt two back. Pay attention today to hook-ups between all these jockeys and trainers.
We have another 11 races today and an early start time. Del Mar begins on Wednesday and then the Breeders Cup. I will have a detailed analysis for all the Breeders Cup Races up for presale this weekend! Be sure to grab our discounted Breeders Cup package today as the price goes to $35!

Beatable favorites are 8 for 12 now:
Race 2 Instilled Regard stretches out for Smith and Dorf who are 29% but both are chilly unless its a big money race, way too low of a price even though he cost $1m. Will Smith gun him early and fade in the stretch or sit him back in La Canada and close him for second? We have to use but will be looking to beat with a price.
Longshots of the Day: Win/place bets on these
Race 1: Burning Brightly, Irish horse makes his US debut after a hitting the bench a couple of times since arriving in the US last year, sharp work, Prat rides I am hoping we get better than 5-1!
Race 3: Pirate Flag, trainer is 38% 1st on grass and check out the best of the day 47 second drill last week. From this post and this speed its obvious what the tactic will be and Blanc on turf although winless at the meet is a big upgrade.
Race 6: Pashito, tough post on the Hill but this horse has speed, off since February Iggy is 2 for 4 with this trainer and when they hit they pay big, trainer is 26% 2nd start rising in class and a big price. Trainer is also racing the favorite in here adding to the possibilities in exoctics! The Hill brings chaos and with so many questions in this race and lack of Hill experience its a great place to take a shot
Race 9: Chocolate Coated, Stevens/French won last out down the Hill against older horses who while she is class tested today she could be a big price upset in this race. I do not like either of the top choices so I am swinging for the fences in this race. This horse can go gate to wire or close and versatility on the Hillside is key.
Today’s Late Pick 4 will cost $40.50 with horses listed in preference.
Today’s Pick 5 will cost $48 with horses listed in preference.
Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.
For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.
When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.
