My longshot/value plays are horses I believe will out run their longshot odds and even potentially win at nice prices. This can be very useful for those doing exotic bets such as trifectas, exactas and Pick 4/5/6’s.
Longshot/Value Plays of the Day:
Race 2: Take Caramie – trainer stats off the page in races like this- 38% maiden special weight, 40% 1st time turf.
Race 6: Chiefs Blanket – toughest race today. Adds blinkers for O’Neill and jockey switch. This horse cost a pretty penny and is in for the claim today with as much speed as the top choices. Overrule is the right price too for this race after losing the jockey last out.
Race 7: Indy’s Star – jockey who rode two others in here to recent wins stays here. This is the kind of illogical longshot that has been winning at the meet!
Today’s Race 1 50 cent Early Pick 5 will cost $72 with horses listed in preference

Typos happen and I do my best not to make them. Always read through my writeups to make sure the posted numbers are correct. I list Pick 4, Pick 5 selections and also a listing of all plays for each race. If there are any differences, please let me know.

For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice with the second choice and an outsider for trifectas.
When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.
