Update: Race 7 new play is 3.5.2
Race 2 use ALL
Some short fields await us today and as such my Pick 5 bet is among the smallest I have done in many years here! I am taking a stand in a couple of races so again if you feel you need more coverage add to this base ticket!
Today’s Full Card including the Pick 6 is only $8
Race 8 is won by horses under 5-1 a large 89% of the time from 19 starts
Race 1: Bullet Express – Bejarano hops on a horse dropping in class after a 2nd last out when bumped at the start. Trainer is 17% shipping in for that bonus money. Sharp workout for this last week. The winner of this race is 5-1 or under 70%
Race 3: West Coast Bias, Van Dyke rides for Proctor and Glen Hill Farms, shortening up slightly after losing by a neck last out. Also shipping in for the bonus money for a trainer 21% shipping, 19% 3rd off a layoff
Longshots of the Day:
Race 7: Sense of Glory, Talamo hops off Daddy’s horse to ride here, best of the day work last week and Talamo is 2 of 4 for trainer and has a 2-2 record from 4 starts at the distance
Race 8: Majestic Journey, at 5-1 not exactly a longshot but Desormeaux rides for Hess off the fresh claim and at Del Mar you pay attention to this tandem that is winning 40% for a nice ROI of $5.88, 2nd start off the bench.
Today’s Late Pick 4 will cost $36 with horses listed in preference.
Today’s Pick 5 will cost $6 with horses listed in preference
Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.
For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.
When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.

“The grace of God is found between the saddle and the ground.”
