4 o clock Friday is back. Last week we hit that nice Pick 5 for $5k+ so I am spending a little more on today’s ticket hunting for a big pay again! My Pick 5 ticket drops to $144 if the Prat horse in race 3 does not draw in. Yesterday we were alive into the last race to a nice payout in the Pick 5 but alas both horses had nada.
Value Play of the Day:
Race 7: Capital Call won off the bench at a mile last out. Today Drysdale puts Pyfer on and adds a lot of distance. The horse is jumped in class but races protected and was also gelded since that last race. The last 2 works were on turf so this race was the target for this trainer and moves like this at this great price I am intrigued.
Value Plays for Today:.
Race 2: Big Al’s Princess looks very interesting here in a wide open race at 10-1. A winner last out in June this trainer is 3 for 3 at Del Mar.
Race 3: Candy on Top – Pyfer in a sprint on turf. Debut race and trainer is cold on this move but….
Race 4: Elgofranco won off the bench last out at 5 and a half furlongs and now stretches out to 6 fl today. That late closing drive should serve this horse well.

Typos happen and I do my best not to make them. Always read through my writeups to make sure the posted numbers are correct. I list Pick 4, Pick 5 selections and also a listing of all plays for each race. If there are any differences, please let me know.
*Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.
For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.
When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.

“The grace of God is found between the saddle and the ground.”
