It was a chalky Pick 4 win for us yesterday but the real fun and money came when our longshot Awesome Heights blew the rest of the filed away in race 5 at 19-1! We have 10 races today and tomorrow to end the Santa Anita meet. Let’s get to work!

Longshots of the Day:
Race 2: Trustini sees jockey Gryder ride through the claim after a closing win last out when he had other choices. Lots of early speed in this race so this horse will have pace to fly down the stretch today
Race 6: Oliver, O’Neill tries turf for the 1st time and he can do no wrong of late. He puts Garcia on and they are winning 42%. Has turf in the bloodlines. Has never raced this far or on turf so we are getting 20-1 or more but again hot jockey/trainer and I believe the distance will be fine. Must use in exotics
Race 8: Simply Breathless was a 1st time Euro horse who made her US debut at Golden Gate in April for trainer Neil Drysdale and Flavian Prat saw fit to go ride up there. That speaks volumes to me. Thiswas the 1st start off a 7 month break from racing at the top racetracks in the UK (Ascot, Newmarket, Goodwood). We are getting 6-1 morning line and possibly more. Rarely do you see Prat do what he did for this horse in California and fly up to Golden Gate.
Race 8: Cats Blame is 2 of 4 at this distance with a win 2 back at this distance. Was a closing 4th last out running shorter. Bejarano is red hot and there is a lot of early speed in this race again setting the race up for this closer. 12-1 is excellent value and they race protected today. I love these types of prices in these kinds of races!
Today’s Race 6 Late Pick 4 will cost $54 singling with horses listed in preference.
Today’s Race 1 Early Pick 5 will cost $36 with horses listed in preference
Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.
For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.
When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.
