Only two days left in the season but it’s another big card with 11 races. I had a really tough time trying to narrow this Pick 5 down. Hard sequence today if the chalks falter!

LA Times Value Play:
Race 1: Starship Endeavor is ridden by Jessica Pyfer for trainer Bob Hess Jr. Jessica has won many a value play for us this year with her weight break. Starship flashed sharp early speed last out before getting caught. We all know today’s tactic – pop the gate from the 10 post, take the lead and win gate-to-wire for us at 15-1. A couple of sharp works since the last race add to the appeal.
Value Plays for Today:.
Race 4: Irondale – the top choices seem to find trouble and if they do…
Race 5: Liam’s Love – Prat at 10-1. Offlee Naughty is Rispoli at 12-1, on turf!
Race 7: Southern Horse is an Argentenian horse that raced in Grade 3 races at the Curragh then shipped out to the States earlier this year. Sharp works Rsipoli is enticed at 15-1 and their route for the 1st time. Fantastic price!

Typos happen and I do my best not to make them. Always read through my writeups to make sure the posted numbers are correct. I list Pick 4, Pick 5 selections and also a listing of all plays for each race. If there are any differences, please let me know.
*Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.
For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.
When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.

“The grace of God is found between the saddle and the ground.”
