An excellent weekend of racing awaits us at Santa Anita. We have 10 races today including some Graded ones and some nice full fields.
Pick 4 I need a single is in race 7 Markie’s Water who is moving up in class off a closing victory last out. Jockey is 40% for trainer. The distance should be no issue. 3rd start off the layoff should be loaded at a great price today.
Pick 5 I need a single is in race 5 Eddie Haskell and looks to be the most likely winner on the card today. Loves this distance ging 6-1-2 from 9 starts
Longshots of the Day:
Race 2: Rmanie’s Grey Suit is 30-1 and will likely be higher and it is rare I land on a horse like this from a little known trainer. However, the trainer is 1 for 1 1st time blinkers and is 2 of 4 for the year with prices. We get a best of day 47 second work in preparation for this race. trainer owned horse and has the best late last race pace but can also go fast early. No world beaters in this race let’s swing
Race 9: Rogallo is a trainer John Sadler and jockey Victor /Espinoza play and they are winning 45%. Sadler is on fire here at Santa Anita winning 29%. 1st time route should be no issue and the 8-1 morning line price in this allowance race is great. We also have a sharp work when the horse races protected today and a 7 pound weight break. Placed for the upset. Prices and horse like this in Allowance races have been making us big money lately.
Today’s Race 7 Late Pick 4 will cost $18 depending on singles with horses listed in preference.
Today’s Race 1 Early Pick 5 will cost $54 with horses listed in preference
Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.
For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.
When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.
