Heavy rain is expected so there is a strong chance the turf races will be moved to dirt. I am handicapping the card for turf. Any changes or scratches we will still stick with the same horses. I tend to make my bets much lower on off track days.
Pick 4 I need a single is in race 8 Danuska’s My Girl has won three in a row including a G3 last out. Gate to wire.
Pick 5 I need a single is in race 3 Fore Left from O’Neill. These baby races are usually tough to handicap and singling may be crazy but Garcia/O’Neill are 2 for 5, and right now O’Neill is one fire and is 9 of 25 in these races over the last couple of years.
Longshots of the Day:
Race 1: Belize is debut runner for Sadler and he legs up Espinoza. Sadler also has another in here but the rail is winning 30% and this combo is a crazy 45% right now. Live at a fantastic price!
Race 4: Watch Me Burn is fast and gate to wire jockey Edwin Maldonado takes the call. The post position is ideal with all the other speed on the inside so Edwin can press the inside speed all the way and blast for home on the turn. The race is listed for turf but dirt is even better. 1st start since last November this stakes race horse has also competed in a Grade 2. We have a series of bullet workouts including a best of the day work last week. This is an allowance race so the fast works are not claim bait. The 6-1 morning line is a fantastic price and if we have no weather scratches should creep higher as the favorites take money. We also get a 5 pound weight break. They picked this spot and this jockey for a reason. These are the types of longshots we have been winning with a lot recently! Daily double with Fore Left in the previous race.
Race 7: Artie B Good can race on either surface and this closer may love the added distance as the last two races saw him run second each time running out of race. His trainer is 4 of 8 for 50% 1st off the claim
Today’s Race 6 Late Pick 4 will cost $36 or $18 depending on singles with horses listed in preference.
Today’s Race 1 Early Pick 5 will cost $54 with horses listed in preference
Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.
For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.
When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.

“The grace of God is found between the saddle and the ground.”
