Congratulations to Always Dreaming on the Kentucky Derby win yesterday! We almost took down a nice late Pick 4 at Churchill too but we singled on the favorite in the last race and that was that. Over at Santa Anita we started off with a Kaboom as our 20-1 longshot Shy Carmelita romped home to win the 1st leg of the Pick 4 but the bombs kept coming as they do in off tracks and that was that. Wet track with more rain today so I am keeping the Pick 5 ticket low but spending a little more on the Pick 4. The 1st race today and the 6th are on the Hillside course and they usually dont run those if there is any rain or wetness so I am handicapping for dirt.
In race 7 we have a 9/5 morning line fav I am betting against, Ran 2nd last our after a win prior I am thinking the distance is too long and he gets swallowed up in the lane so I will be looking for a closer here.

Possible singles today:
In race 4 True Testament from Prat/Hollendorfer who are winning 65% and 82% in the money is winless but ran second against Paradise Woods who ran at Churchill Friday (poorly) but the 3rd and 4th place finishers also came back to win
Longshots of the Day: Win/place bets on these
Race 1: Bucky Goldstein, move to dirt wont hurt, rain 2nd going 6fl on dirt in debut, fast work last week
Race 2: Life of Illusion, Miyadi debuter nothing special in the works and a weight break at this distance usually does not help but we scored big with Steve last week and this horse cost $170k in auction, gun from the start gate to wire at a big price?
Race 6: Dreamy Gal, Irish horse ran around the track in US debut on the Hill, this race moves to dirt and she raced on All-weather back home, 12-1 I am using
Race 7: Midnight Harbor, won by a neck last out going short, claimed off Dorf now rising in class I actually think this 7fl distance is ideal and we get a huge price and with all the speed in here the closing move this horse has could take home the prize!
Race 8: Plastered, 3 of 6 wins have come on dirt, moving up in class and has won gate to wire from this post previously, win rider Steven’s bailed to ride September Stars but that was for turf, if this race moves to dirt he likely would not have
Race 9: Two Six Wins, 1st start since August rising in class and runs protected, the only one in this race, we scored big on Friday in the last race with a similar situation on Trifecta, bills to pay, when you can protect and win at a price in racing these days you take those opportunities!
Today’s Late Pick 4 will cost $54 with horses listed in preference.

Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.
For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.
When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.
