A weekend of longshots for us but alas we kept running 4 of 5 in the Pick 5 and 3 of 4 in the Pick 4. On Monday we hit a nice longshot in the last race but our single ran 2nd yet again. We have been hitting some modest pick ⅘ wins with some nice longshots and the races doing us in we are running in the money. A good place to be. Let’s see what we can do with today’s 8 race card.
Pick 5 I need a single is in race 2 Color War who adds blinkers, gets Maldonado, drops in class and has a sharp workout for this. Tactic is easy – gate to wire.
Pick 4 I need a single is in race – none
Longshots of the Day:
Race 1: Mongolian Legend is 4-1 and I am hoping for higher but we have won so much betting on Enebish Ganbat/Abel Cedillo on these Monfolian horse. Racing protected today we see a sharp work. Major jockey upgrade today. Top speed in the race and best late pace this is a very tempting value play single against some mediocre favorites.
Race 3: Alvaaro is an O’Neill/Garcia 37% winning combo horse jumping in class off a win last out. We are getting 10-1 on the class jump and added distance for a horse with early speed. 3rd start off the layoff they risk for the claim today so you better believe they expect to get paid and so should we!
Race 6: One Flew South looks very sneaky at a price here making the 2nd start off a layoff. That 1st start 2 weeks ago was in a Grade 1 and the horse bobbled at the start. Roman is 33% for O’Neill. 1st time turf dam has 2 turf winners and Giants Causeway in the sires bloodlines.

Typos happen and I do my best not to make them. Always read through my writeups to make sure the posted numbers are correct. I list Pick 4, Pick 5 selections and also a listing of all plays for each race. If there are any differences, please let me know.
*Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.
For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.
When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.

“The grace of God is found between the saddle and the ground.”
