We have a tough card today requiring a lot of spreading but if one can connect the pays should be very good.

LA Times Value Play:

Race 5: Crossword is 12-1 with Joel Roasrio riding for John Sadler and Hronis racing. Even on this jump in class I doubt we get this great morning line price. 1st time Lasix after winning last out when trying turf going shorter for the 1st time. This is a wide open spread as deep as you can race for Pick 5 bets.

Value Plays for Today:.

Race 7:  Kazan has a great closing kick and speed in a race loaded with early speed. This race is won by horses over 5-1 a whopping 43% with 10 of 21

Today’s Race 1 50 cent Early Pick 5 will cost $90 with horses listed in preference

For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice  with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.

When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.
