06-14-2019 Santa Anita Full Card

What a great weekend we had almost sweeping the card on Saturday and winning the Pick 5 and then on Sunday as the guest on Quigley’s Corner at Santa Anita we went 7 of 9 with 6 of those winners the top choice and a 2nd place finisher longshot in the first race! Thanks for watching the show. Let’s get to work today and see if we can sweep the card today!

My Del Mar Season Pass is on sale now for only $150 a 40% discount!

Pick 5 I need a single is in race 1 Opus Won with Prat riding for Baltas and they are winning 40% and 73% in the money. Won last out, top speed in the race and we have a sharp work last week.

Pick 4 I need a single is in race 8 Zillinda who has the top speed, top back speed, top class in this race and if it’s not this horse it’s a spread! Ran 2nd last out the best horse in here on paper.

Longshots of the Day:

Race 5: Capture the Sea is from trainer Craig Dollase who is 30% 1st time grass like today and 50% in the money with big prices. We get 15-1 morning line today. The horse races protected as well in this optional claimer race in a sign of optimism. These allowance races have been giving us great value during the meet. Dam has one winner from 3 starters on turf. Last week 4 of 5 sprint races on turf saw a gate to wire winner and jockey Edwin Maldonado jumps on so we know this is the strategy today! This is the best betting race on the card. If the favorite does not win in this wide open race it’s going to be a big price.

Race 6: Horse Greedy is a Sadler/Espinoza 10-1 morning line price and these two win 21%. Races protected today after running graded stakes races. We get a sharp work and a move back to dirt and a distance this horse is 2-1 from 4 starts

Today’s Race 5 Late Pick 4 will cost $27 singling with horses listed in preference.

Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.

For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice  with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.

When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.
