06-07-2019 Santa Anita Full Card

We have three allowance races today in the late Pick 4 and we have been doing very well with prices in those types of races lately. I am going to spend a little more than usual chasing some prices in the sequence today

Pick 4 I need a single is in race 8 – none today price shopping

Pick 5 I need a single is in race 3 Twirling Apples 1st start since October is risked for a claim today. Has run 2nd last two starts and drops in class today for the easy paycheck

Longshots of the Day:

Race 1: Lucky Ms Jones is the “other” D’Amato and stretches out to a mile after a 5th place finish last out going 5 fl. She did close nicely in that race so the stretch out today looks ideal as does the price. Races protected today as well

Race 7: Incredibly Lucky tries turf for the 1st time, shortens up and drops for trainer Bill Spawr who is winning 25% at the meet, is 22% off the bench and 33% maiden to maiden claiming like today. Main jockey Tiago Pereira is 33% for this stable. We are getting 8-1 or more in this wide open race. This horse was bet to odds on in both starts so expectations were high. We also get a sharp work and the horse races protected today. Excellent value play for us!

Today’s Race 5 Late Pick 4 will cost $72 singling with horses listed in preference.

Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.

For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice  with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.

When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.

“The grace of God is found between the saddle and the ground.”
