With the low pays we are seeing and in inability of “sure thing” paper favorites to get the job done this is a card where I am looking to really small tickets. The longshots that are coming in are horses I would never look twice at so another reason to bid our time. Tomorrow we have a big 11 race card to save ammo for. Major storms late next week so let’s do our gambling this weekend.
Pick 4 I need a single is race 5 Lieutenant Dan who blew away the competition last time and now stretches out for Miyadi who races him protected today. Top speed moving up in class for Myadi and when he protects them he usually means business
Longshots of the Day:
Race 1: Irish Polo plunges in class for Miller who is 27% route to sprint, 26% claiming and he legs up new rookie Velez and his TEN POUND weight break that at this 7fl distance could be big. Miller has a great eye for the new bug boys. 5-1 or more please!
Race 4: Ficanis is from Sadler/Rosario 2nd time US start and tries the Hill today off a break from that May debut. We get some sharp works for this race and a nice outside draw
Race 7: Full of Luck attracts Prat for Dorf at 15-1 and when Prat rides for Dorf he means business as they are winning 43%. Back on dirt after a 6 month break the tactic will be gun and gate to wire
Today’s Race 5 Late Pick 4 will cost $18 depending on singles with horses listed in preference.
Today’s Race 1 Early Pick 5 will cost $16 with horses listed in preference
Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.
For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.
When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.
Irish horse racing saying –
“Bíonn grásta Dé idir an dialait agus an talamh.”
“The grace of God is found between the saddle and the ground.”
