The last two days of racing at the beach begins and today we nine races to handicap. I am spending more on the Pick 5 today looking for the larger payoff. My Pick 4 ticket has some nice longshots but it is keyed around River Boyne in the big race.
Tomorrow is the last day of the Fall meet. Stop by if you are on-track and say hi at the Newcomers Seminar I will be hosting one hour before the 1st post inside the main gate.
Pick 4 I need a single is race 7 River Boyne who after disappointing us in here in the summer came back to win a G2 at Santa Anita. Top speed, red hot jockey, sharp work we may actually get better than the 5/2 morning line because of the last race here
Pick 5 I need a single is – none today looking for prices and spreading
Irish Parlay – Queen Ryker shipping in from Bellewstown Ireland and River Boyne the river next to it, makes for a nice parlay double if you are on track!
Longshots of the Day:
Race 3: Sixes looks very sneaky in here for a trainer who is 26% on the year, 25% shipping, 28% 3rd off the layoff and 27% on turf. Shortens up to this 5fl sprint and has as much speed as the top choices. Let’s see if we can roll some sixes at the beach at a giant price
Race 5: Queen Ryker ships in from a 2nd last out in Bellewstown Ireland, a track we would frequent every year as kid. Van Dyke rides for Paddy, Lasix booster, 8-1 price
Race 6: Gypsy Blu, jockey Gryder does not get many mounts but wins 40% when he does including this horse at 30-1 two weeks ago. Trainer Koriner is a longshot king at Del Mar and is winning 38% at the meet and we get a sharp work November 23. Horse looks very live at 8-1
Race 9: Drop the Mic won closing like a freight train in the stretch coming down the Hillside course in her debit, a very tough thing to do. We get a sharp workout last week and the stretchout to a mile at 8-1
Today’s Race 6 Late Pick 4 will cost $13.50 depending on singles with horses listed in preference.
Today’s Race 1 Early Pick 5 will cost $72 with singles with horses listed in preference
Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.
For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.
When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.

“Bíonn grásta Dé idir an dialait agus an talamh.”
“The grace of God is found between the saddle and the ground.”
