08-03-2018 Del Mar Full Card

Jockey Prat is dialed in at Del Mar right now – every horse he rides you must look and consider!

If you are at Del Mar this summer be sure to stop by the Newcomers Seminar and say hello as I will be hosting it each Sunday one hour before the first race at the main entrance.

Pick 4 I need a single  – none

Pick 5 I need a single is in race 3 Sunday Prophet with Prat riding and he is 31% for Baltas who takes the blinkers off after the last race and he is 32% on that move. Pulled early last out with blinkers on – today they come off and Prat wins again

Longshots of the Day:

Race 2: Chloe Bella, is 2-1 from 3 starts at the distance at Golden Gate, #3 post is top post for sprints right now and horse has been 1st or 2nd in all starts

Race 4: Hayloard with Prat riding is 12-1 morning line – no way this horse with this speed with this jockey off a win last out with Prat goes off for more than 6-1. We can hope though!  Won last, drawing away in the stretch. If Prat were not riding Haylord my other longshot is Invasion Looming in this race as well. Went gate to wire on the Hillside course last out and that is hard, moves up in class. I’ll use both

Today’s Late Pick 4 will cost $30 with the single with horses listed in preference.

Horses listed in brackets are for added coverage if wanted and for exotics.

For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice  with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.

When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.
