Del Mar 08-28-2016 Free Plays

It was very chalky in the later races yesterday and we took home a giant $48 Pick 4 payout! Still, with our bets always around the $40 and under area it was a profit nonetheless and pays for today’s Pick 4 bet. The longshots were surprisingly absent yesterday, one of the rare days like that at this meet. Prat has taken a commanding 6 win lead but Bejarano has been known to meet the challenge in the past and there is still a week of racing left. Prat has rides on mostly favorites today while Bejarano rides medium priced horses and interestingly not the Baffert favorite in race 7. Many will consider there one or even two free spots on the Pick 4 and that means if our price plays hit the payout could be very, very nice!

Del Mar is where the big prices usually hit and where our biggest wins have come!

Pick 4 “I need a Single” in race 8 Enola Gray looking for her 4th win in a row as she steps up to a Grade 3. The inside posts on dirt are winning 33% (on turf 45%!) Enola should easily win this race butxxxxxxxx

For races where I only have one or two selections I usually like to KEY the top choice  with the second choice and an outside for trifectas.

When I have three horses selected in a Pick 4 or Pick 5 consider them for Trifecta boxes and for superfecta boxes use the 3 selections with the highest priced horse with good form or top tier jockeys riding, especially if they give a price. Rolling Pick 3 and doubles using selections.
